The Declaration for unused conflict minerals
1. 沖突礦物 The Description of Unused Conflict Minerals
1.1 沖突礦物包括鈮鉭鐵礦、錫石、金、鎢錳鐵礦，亦可稱為「沖突金屬」(conflict metal)，指的是這些礦物來自于叛亂軍所把持的礦場，其金屬銷售所得沒有用來改善當地人民的生活，反而落入叛亂軍手中，成為武裝沖突持續下去的金流。
1.1 Conflict minerals are defined in the legislation as columbite-tantalite (conflict metal),cassiterite, gold and wolframite. It means that those minerals originated in the colliery which controlled by the rebel army, and the incomes from mineral selling which have not been used for improving local resident’s life. On the contrary, the incomes have been controlled by the rebel army, which became the capital during armed conflict.
1.2 美國通過的法案并沒有禁止上市公司採用剛果礦石，聯合國(UN)也沒有類似規定，僅要求上市公司在年報中揭露，是否採用剛果以及鄰近9國的礦石，以防止剛果的沖突金屬出口至鄰國， 隱藏真實來源。
1.2 The act which has just been passed but has not been prohibited that the use of Congo minerals in listed company, UN(United Nation) has no this specific act also. The only requirement to ask any listed company should describe if it uses minerals originated in Congo or nine adjoining countries.
2. 沖突礦物未使用聲明Non-use Conflict Minerals Protection Declaration
所有怡德銷售的貨物(材料/零部件/組件/包裝材)，其設計及制造過程均未使用沖突礦物。
For all goods(material/part/assembly part/ packing material) to be sold by UNITED, the conflict mineral won’t be used in the design and manufacturing process.
我們承諾不使用來自于剛果民主共和國非政府軍事團體或非軍事派別所控制沖突地區的礦區生產的金（Au），鉭（Ta），鎢（W），鈷（Co），和錫（Sn）等金屬礦物。
Conflict Minerals refers to minerals (gold, tantalum, tungsten, cobalt, and tin) mined in the eastern provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and in the adjoining countries where revenues may be directly or indirectly fund conflict in those areas.
The UNITED is committed not to procure and use any Conflict Minerals in an effort to be an outstanding corporate citizen. The UNITED does not only pride itself on being a leader in technology but also a leader in corporate social responsibility.
